2013 BASS Nation Nebraska State Tournament

Lake of the Ozarks, Osage Beach

This is a solid footing for the year.  Practice started good on the first day with sunny, mild conditions.  Found an A-rig bite (Alabama rig) early, but I was really excited to get on a solid flipping bite in some creeks.  Spent most of the second day trying to get the flipping bite going, but a cold front and cloudy cool conditions shut that down!  So I refocused my attention on the A-rig and found something late.  During the tournament I committed to the A-rig and went for 5 bites. I got 4; however, they were the right 4.  It was a grind, but the quality of the bites allowed me to finish second, earning a much anticipated spot on the state team.  Overall a great tournament as I committed and executed a solid plan.  My buddy Pat Klausen finished first, I was second and overall our team, Big Water Bass, took Team first place honors.

Congratulations to all the guys as this was a great team effort, rewarded with a 42 lb advantage over second place. The full results can be found at Nebraska Bass Federation.  Listed below are the top 12 anglers, qualifying for next years Central Division Regional.  Congratulations to all the State Team qualifiers!
